Tai Chi

Tai Chi is a self-healing exercise where the movements are slow, relaxed, and tranquil. Scientific research has proven the dramatic effect upon ones health that regular practice will promote. The spine will become straighter, internal organs will function more efficiently, respiration will become deeper, metabolic efficiency will increase along with exquisite coordination. Tai Chi is moving meditation, teaching the mind to be attentive to the body, breath, and inner-self. The mind becomes still and quiet, the breathing is relaxed, and the body relaxed.

The various postures of Tai Chi also provide for a very powerful martial art. Since the movements are slow and relaxed, one learns to combine the strength of a mountain with fluidity to move sensitively out of the way of an attacker. This leaves them to the logical conclusions of their own actions. When striking your opponent with softness suddenly the strike becomes as powerful as a tidal wave.
